Air Handler Loop Piping
This was a project that was definitely on the critical path. The pipes have to go in the wall before sheetrock. I did most of it myself. It was the first time that I soldered a lot of 1 1/2" copper pipe. For that size pipe I needed some special tools. I bought a bigger tip for my Turbo-torch and a special Scotch brite pad for the grinder for cleaning pipe ends. To cut the pipe I used an abrasive blade on my chop saw.

I started from the basement.

Then up through the closet, with a branch for the living room air handler.
.
Through the 2nd floor wall, with a branch into the old attic for the family room air handler.
.
Then into the new 2nd floor attic, with two branches for the 2nd flr and kitchen air handlers.
.
.
Across and down into the master attic with two taps for the master and basement air handlers.

A self portrait when I was done.
